Where Flowers cultivate community & infuse joy
Painfully aware of the lack of opportunity for individuals with intellectual disability to achieve a sense of purpose & belonging once they age out of the school system, Lucie Wade, founder of Posy, decided to do something about it. Harnessing the power of cut flowers & agricultural therapy, she piloted a green care farm on her family’s 20 x 30’ vegetable patch. Working alongside her brother Harris—who has Fragile X Syndrome—she knew they were onto something big.
Today, Posy has a new home at Grand Potager in the Verdun Municipal Greenhouses. We are Montréal’s first urban cut flower and green care farm committed to building community between people with and without intellectual disabilities one stunning, locally grown, and pesticide free bouquet at a time.
